How it all began

After experimenting with different blends for years, Curt Mast finally created a herbal liqueur he was happy with; not too sweet, or too citrusy, but a spirit that combined 56 herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits. Jägermeister, with a 35% ABV, was born in 1934 and arrived on the market one year later.

This is the first draft of a front label designed by Günther Claußen. Claußen was a graphic designer.
