Major presence on TV and in neighbouring countries

At the start of the 1950s, as the German economic miracle took hold, Jägermeister secured its place in people’s hearts: Lovingly designed advertising motifs with the famous Jägermeister dachshund increased the brand’s popularity. ARD (a German public broadcaster) began broadcasting adverts in 1955, and in the 1960s unveiled the first advertising films entitled "A look through the Jägermeister glass" ("Der Blick durchs Jägermeister-Glas") with "footage of wild German forest creatures" ("Realaufnahmen von Tieren des deutschen Waldes in freier Wildbahn") – combined with Jägermeister packshots. Around the same time, the company began exporting Jägermeister to Scandinavia, Austria and the BeNeLux countries.
